Matzi Hotel Apartments

Pros: It is 30 minutes walk from Platanias centre where you can find a lot of shops and restaurants, on the other hand Gerani is a little, quiet settlement. Matzi Hotel is directly at the seeside, with well maintened garden. The apartman size and equipment were good for us. Cleaning take place daily. Staff was helpful and friendly, Maria helped us organizing daily tours, advising restaurants and sites to see, also in car rental. We were satisfied perfectly.

Pros: The location is great - right on the beach, away from busy roads, and it has a beautiful pool with lounging chairs and umbrellas. The unit was nicely outfitted, and the beds were comfortable.

Cons: Our unit had moisture between the glass on the balcony doors - took away from a great view. The shower was tough to not soak the bathroom floor - small issue - water just ran to the drain.

Overall good

Pros: Room had sea view from balcony modernised fittings

Cons: No hot water in the evening for a shower on our first night.

To relax is a good place

Pros: The room was big, clean and I had beautiful vew. The personnel at the hotel are helpful and really nice.😊

It was just great

Pros: I managed to get a room with a sea view... a few days the sound of waves is pleasant, but here the sea can be really rough and the sound changes into a roar sometimes, but the view compensates for everything I really liked it. The pool is a salvation then with such waves in the sea you have to be really good at swimming also a plus because pool is avaible here.

Cons: Helpful hostess, although sometimes pushy... but it's worth saying it outright. I got along without a problem. Crete here is pebbles on the beach, you can forget about walking on the beach it's just painful even in water shoes, less than a kilometer to the west there is a road where you can walk along the sea, it's great

Pros: Everything is very well organised. And when you arrive, they make you feeling home directly. And your holidays starts directly. And if you need any assistance like bike rental, laundry service, they are happy to help. Nice to buy beer/wine/water/soft drinks direct at the reception. And if you don't have a car to carry water for 2 km. Hospitality on it's best 👌

Pros: Maria is the most sweet woman ever! Loved the pool and the second apartment we've stayed in! Loved it! Next to everything- restaurants, bars and supermarkets!

Pros: Everything was amazing. Maria and her mum are the friendliest host ever. Location was perfect. Quiet not touristy. Just the perfect relax holiday

Pros: Gorgeous view, you live right on the beach and fall asleep to the sound of the sea. There is an endless beach line, so there are not many people around. Ideal for relaxation and recuperation. Cozy and always clean rooms and bed linen. Shops and delicious Greek taverns are within walking distance. We liked Oasis. You can go on an excursion by bus or on a small excursion train; they will pick you up near the hotel. Many thanks to Maria and all the staff for a wonderful vacation!
