Calm and beautiful place to stay

Pros: Very nice and quiet place, with a magnificent view over the sea. Beautiful garden. Every room has his own terrace and privacy. The staff were really friendly and helpful ! The beds were really comfortable.

Cons: Our room was ok, but the bathroom was smelling really badly and they knew about the problem. The door also made a terrible noise every time we opened or closed it. It’s a bit sad that they don’t restore it and solve the problem of the smell of the bathroom before giving it to travelers. Because for the rest the room was perfectly good. The breakfast was also ok. The tables were often quite dirty and no fresh fruits. But delicious fresh orange juice was made everyday !

Pros: Very convenient location, easy access from Chania airport - and yet in no way negatively impacted by the proximity. The premises were a pure delight away from the tourist hustle. Tastefully designed studios, well equipped set in beautiful landscape with great views and a lush variety of seasonal fruit trees. Lovely restaurant just down the road (T-Bay) overlooking the delightful local sandy beach. Breakfast offered something for everyone's taste including fresh fruit & freshly squeezed orange juice. And happy hour with 2 drinks for the price of one is definitely worth taking advantage of, especially if you want to enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

Cons: The only thing I felt was missing was the provision of washing up supplies for the dishes in the studio. I requested some but was only given a small amount of dish soap. Access to the sea from the stone pier was very slippery and I would only recommend it to strong swimmers or on a very calm day, but there is a beautiful sandy beach just down the road. Some people might be put off by noise from the airport and military base but this is not something that bothered us, once we were sure WW3 hadn't started as the fighter jets took off on our first morning there.

Relaxing place to stay in a quieter and beautiful part of Crete

Pros: We stayed in a 2 bed apartment which was very spacious for a family. Breakfast was plentiful and good for a family - we usually had cereal, toast, eggs and fruit. The pool was great (3m deep and a reasonable size) and there were plenty of sun loungers. The gardens and grounds were beautiful - we saw lots of fruit growing like pomegranates, grapes and bananas, and lovely flowers. The kids loved the platform into the sea on the calmer days. We hired a car so we could visit nearby beaches, Chania, and other places on the island. The beach down the road was also good, and has a company to hire boats from. The Alianthos Suites staff were all lovely, especially Stavros who greeted us with a friendly smile every morning at breakfast. We would happily visit again!

Cons: The kitchen in our apartment was very basic- we had 2 electric rings, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a kettle and a toaster. There was no oven and no BBQ. It was fine to cater for basic lunches but not good for making main meals for a family. Thankfully there are lovely restaurants and takeaways nearby, and the pool bar did tasty gyros as well.

Great Accommodation, Great Value, Great Beach and Crystal Clear Waters!

Pros: On behalf of my wife and her best friend - They loved the accommodation - in particular how quiet it was (except for the cicadas! ;-)) and in their 2 bedroomed apartment, just how much space they had! The small private beach was awesome and the clarity of the water breath-taking! The value for money was amazing and there were great Tavernas within walking distance. Definitely considering a return visit!

Cons: At the price point, nothing could be faulted!
