Marika's Penthouse Chania

A really good choice and marvellous hosts in a highly equipped comfortable property

Pros: Location was good for both the beach at access to the old town. There were also lots of local communities which were very useful for our stay. The apartment has excellent facilities is very clean and the outdoor area is marvellous for the warmer evenings.

Cons: The only thing that could've been better which is outside of the control of the owners is the noise from local dogs that took us awhile to get used to

Pros: We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Marina & Nick’s apartment! The location is fantastic, the terrace is huge and perfect for relaxing, the kitchen is spacious, and having a washing machine and included amenities made our stay super convenient. The apartment itself is beautiful, and having the hosts living just downstairs made communication and support easy and stress-free — they are incredibly kind and responsive. While there were roadworks on the street during our stay (which the hosts could not control), Marina & Nick were extremely understanding and handled the situation very fairly, ensuring our experience remained enjoyable. Overall, we loved everything about the apartment and the hospitality — we would definitely recommend it and hope to return!

Beautiful, clean, everything you need so close.

Pros: Location was perfect. 5 min walk to beach and restaurants all so close. Easy 15min walk to Old Town main centre. Supermarket 2 minute walk away. Beautiful massive balcony to relax on all day long. Everything you need is so close - loved our stay here.

Cons: Road construction was happening in the surrounding blocks, which made it a little more difficult for parking. But we still managed to find parking close by.

Pros: This is an excellent home to stay in Crete. Close to the center of Chania, the beach and everything else you need like markets, coffee shops, etc. The apartment it is exactly how is described (photos included). And the best host that we could have asked for. Perfect communication and helped us with any information we needed.

Pros: The apartment is beautiful, new, spacious and very, very clean. Just like in the pictures. Air conditioning and external blinds in each room. The terrace is huge, it was a pleasure to spend evenings there. Our two-year-old felt great here. We were worried about parking on the street, but at the end of May it was no problem at all. We had a 5-minute walk to the beach and the promenade along the coast. Marina and Nick were very friendly and helpful. If we are ever in Chania again, we will gladly come back here :)

Luxurious stay in Chania

Pros: Marina and Nick are the most thoughtful hosts - the second floor flat is well equipped with everything you could need, honestly I’d say better than many five star hotels in terms of level of consideration. We never had to ask for anything! The decor of the flat is very chic and stylish; the terrace is enormous and a comfortable furnished space. Marina was extremely helpful with providing advice on how to visit the gorge and general tips on how to get around! The location is great, close to the beaches, supermarkets and some top seafood places but also the flat is nice and quiet because it’s out of the old town. There is no reserved parking but we didn’t find it difficult to park outside in our week’s stay.

A wonderful stay

Pros: We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is very clean and well equipped, and has a huge terrace with mountain views. The beach and old town are within walking distance and there’s a large supermarket nearby, but it’s still in a peaceful neighbourhood. We had no issue finding close street parking. Marina was a fantastic host, very responsive and even provided kids toys and books.

Cons: Nothing!

Everything was very good.

Pros: The terrace was amazing. Everywhere was clean. Apartments was with air conditioning in every room.

Wonderful, relaxing

Pros: Great location, private and well stocked we didn’t need to ask for anything. Would definitely go back if I’m in Crete again.

Cons: Nonthing

Wonderful base from which to experience Chania. Would definitely stay again!

Pros: Marina and Nick were the most warm and considerate hosts. The apartment was clean and even nicer than expected, and a lot of thought had been given to ensure we had everything we could need.
