Lovely Apartment!

Pros: Absolutely lovely place. The apartment was basic, clean, and practical, with the amazing pool as well. Views from the pool and patio were beautiful, and it's literally 2 minutes to shops, restaurants, and the beach and bus stops. Maria, the host, was brilliant! So lovely and super helpful. The apartment was cleaned every day, so it was always nice. As a family with our children, it was perfect. Easy to get the bus into Chania Old Town, but far enough away to avoid the crowds if you want to. Everyone in Kalamaki was so nice - we had the best holiday ever. Would definitely go back!

Cons: The steep hill up to the apartment,was not good for my wife's bad back the swimming pool was not very safe,no hand rail and steps were very slippery,

Great host, accommodation, facilities and near the beach.

Pros: It was very private. The pool was fabulous and most days I had it to myself. Close to supermarket, bars and restaurants

Cons: Would have liked someone to meet us on arrival or at least some clear instructions of how to access our apartment. Basic provision of a bottle of water, salt/pepper would have been nice.

Pros: The pool was open even the night we really enjoyed it in late evening, our 3 years old son loved it

Pros: Location was fantastic. Swimming pool was well maintained and great value to the property. Staff were all very friendly

Cons: The oven and stove is very old and a bit difficult to prepare food efficiently

All in all really good value for the money and wonderfully situated.

Pros: This apartment is situated about 200 m from Kalamaki beach which is an absolutely gorgeous beach. Very suitable for kids with shallow water and not very big waves with sun beds that cost 10-15€ for one day. The pool is also very nice and beautifully situated with a nice view of the sea. The host was very friendly and helpful and it was very much appreciated that we could check out late the last day as our plane didn’t leave until late. Kalamaki is not very far from Chania and even closer to Platanias which is also nice with lots of shops and restaurants.

Pros: Spacious especially for two people. Lovely outdoor space with chairs, table and view. Beautiful pool with a view.

Traditional Greek apartment in a superb location with lovely pool overlooking the sea

Pros: The views from the terrace were superb. The swimming pool was a massive bonus which we used more than I'd anticipated. Our host Timmy was very helpful and polite. The location was very convenient for a lovely beach, shopping and buses to other resorts. It was lovely and peaceful at the top of our little hill although not far from anything.

Cons: The double bed when we arrived was extremely hard but was much better after requesting a topper and extra pillows. Sleeping on the sofa beds in the lounge was extremely hot but again much improved after Timmy found us a floor standing fan. There was a bit of a smell coming from the bathroom which came and went. An alarm clock wasn't needed as the cleaner woke us up with her loud voice most mornings, although not too early thankfully.
