Fantastic time, great host, destination to be repeated

Pros: A lovely property still with its old charm in a fantastic location right in the middle of Chania old town and located close to restaurants, cafes, shops and convenient stores. Not far to the beach either. Kostas was a great host. Very friendly, helpful and the communication from the beginning was good. He met my friend who was flying in earlier that afternoon and arranged to hand over the keys and organised a transfer for myself from the airport as my flight landed quite late.

Cons: The steep narrow stairs could be an issue for some.

A lovely house, ideally located for walking and eating in the Old Town.

Pros: The location for the Old Town was fantastic. Within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and harbour. The host arranged the private parking for us which was brilliant, it was 19 euros per day. There was nowhere else to easily park in early September.

Cons: Going up and down the stairs was a challenge but we are in our 60's. We managed ok.

Pros: If you are looking to stay in Chania and immerse yourself in the Greek lifestyle with amazing restaurants serving traditional food, then this is the place. The house is set on three floors, immaculately clean, with all the amenities you could wish for. The top balcony was stunning, providing a great space to chill, and it even had a fridge – a bonus! The location is perfect for everything you need: sightseeing, the port, shops, restaurants, and bars. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the owner, who welcomed us with insightful information about the area. If we ever return, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Cons: Hard to find fault - be aware lots of steps to get to the top floor , may be hard if any diasbailites

Pros: Athena is an amazing host, ready to accommodate any of our request. The house is lovely, super clean and cozy. There are two lovely bedrooms and one sofa bed which we asked to be converted into a bed. There are four bathrooms, one for each floor. There is also an amazing veranda with lovely views of the city. The location of Kallinikou is perfect, right in the centre of Chania. Thank you Athena for such an amazing stay!

A fantastic place to stay in Chania. Recommended.

Pros: Beautiful house in the heart of the old town of Chania, just 2 minutes walk from the harbour. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Fabulous roof terrace. The Hosts, Kostas and Athena were really hospitable and helpful and offered plenty of advice and information on the places to visit and the best value restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

Cons: No problems for us, but would not advise for elderly or infirm people, because of the stairs.

Pros: Kostas was an exceptional host, staying up late to welcome us, show where everything was and even take us around the neighbourhood. Even advised a couple of days later that the Olympic torch was coming through Chania.

Cons: Nothing.

Kelly is an amazing host and she makes you feel taken care of

Pros: the location and convenience was top tier and the whle house itself was beautiful from top to bottom. the WIFI is fast and its a cozy place even to stay in

Pros: Beautiful traditional property in the heart of the old town. So many great restaurants to choose from literally a stones throw from the property. Kelly is a great example of what a host should be and is a credit to the property. Quiet with a great nights sleep had by all.

Attention to every detail made for a wonderful stay

Pros: Excellent location, host has thought of ever little detail to make for a wonderful stay, from the Cretan pies, wine and water on arrival, to full laundry amenities (including washing powder), to beach towels to insect repellent to facilitate sitting on the balcony. The beds were wonderful to sleep on; sheets were of the highest quality. The host’s attention to detail made for an awesome stay.

Cons: Three story apartment is challenging after a day of walking and exploring the beautiful town.
