Villas Vista Del Mar

Pros: Amelia is very nice and supportive host. She welcomed us early in the morning, outside the usual check-in time. She was prepared for us different welcome things - it was very nice, thank you very much, Amelia! The house was cleaned every day.

Cons: The house is close to the centre of the village, but there are no sidewalks for pedestrians. And all the time, there is heavy traffic. Getting to the village on foot is not very pleasant and safe. And if you want to go by car, it is hard to find a park place.

Pros: The host was fantastic, really friendly and helpful. The accommodation was great. Secluded and private with stunning views.

Cons: A little close to the road but would still book again.

Excellent location but not very quiet at night

Pros: The host is extremely nice and helpful. We appreciated her advice on trips etc. The accommodation is standalone and very clean. The location as central point for trips in the northwest of Crete is perfect. Overall we enjoyed the hospitality and great location.

Cons: WiFi signal is weak. Worth noting for the light sleepers is that you hear traffic (loud motor bikes, trucks, etc) from the main road less than 50 meters away. Unfortunately one of the mobile beds made a loud cracking noise whenever you moved.

Excellent, comfortable location with an exceptional host.

Pros: The owner was there to give us the keys and also brought us freshly made orange juice upon arrival. Amelia and her family made our trip awesome and memorable because of their exceptional hospitality. She recommended an incredible restaurant that we visited and the food, the views and the people were so extraordinary that we couldn't believe how lucky we were to experience it. Amelia also suggested a boat tour that took us to Balos beach and Garamvousa island and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Crete. We were so happy to stay at Villas Vista Del Mar and to have met Amelia have access to her local insights and tips! Very valuable knowledge and much appreciated! Some of the best parts of our Crete Trip occurred because of Vista Del Mar and Amelia!

Very cozy, relaxing and handy to explore the area.

Pros: We had a great stay in this little gem in north Crete. The Kissamos port to go to Balos and Gramvousa Island is just 1 km close, so you can really plan the day very efficiently. It is 1 hour drive to Elafonissi and 15 min to Falasarna Beach, so it has a perfect location for us. The host was absolutely welcoming, responsive and genuinely thoughtful. Beach blankets were great. The place was very clean and the mattresses were very comfy. The morning coffee with the see view was really very relaxing.

Cons: Everything was good.

Fantastic Cretan welcome in beautiful little soulful house

Pros: Amalia is incredibly kind, this was my best experience in terms of the classic warm Greek welcome. This was the best of the properties I stayed at in Crete in terms of hospitality, authenticity, artistic touches. The little house was gorgeous and I would have loved to move in. It's so tasteful decorated. Amalia picked me up from he bus stop and dropped me back as I didn't come by car.... I think that with a car, a person would have an even better time at this location! I warmly recommend anyone to stay here, make this your base. I hope to return.

Cons: Personally not having a car was a little tricky, but that wasn't the fault of the property.. you can walk to Kissamos, but it's a very busy road and I don't recommend doing it at night.

Fabulous stay, lovely hosts and family, did everything to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Pros: The apartment was lovely, great location close to the town centre and to the port, also great for getting to other towns and beaches. The apartment was lovely, like a home from home, such nice decoration and little touches. Amelia and her family made us feel so welcome.
