Pros: Staying at Liza’s place was truly unforgettable. The beds were so comfortable, and every morning we enjoyed the peace of the beautiful garden with its breathtaking view of the mountains. What really made our stay special were the wonderful owners — so welcoming and attentive. We were greeted with fresh fruits and homemade olive oil, and Maria even treated us to her delicious homemade pastries, which felt like a gift from the heart. The location is perfect for exploring the many beaches nearby, as well as Rethymno and Chania. We felt at home here from the very first moment, and we would love to return again. We can’t recommend this place enough!

Pros: Excellent house next to the owner. Nice patio. Fresh products (figs, tomatoes) from the garden. Very friendly hosts. Close to Kournas Lake and the beach with a car.

Pros: Excellent stay, kind, warm, welcome. Exceeds our expectations. Very cozy, clean and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful place close to nature, garden with oranges and lemons, mountain view. Very friendly and smart dog and cat on the territory, our 2 kids got really attached to. Location is good, close Kalyves beach, Kaurnas lake with turtles, folklore museum of Gavalochori. Home is really lovely, hosts put a lot of thought and care into making it a comfortable and welcoming space inside and outside of the house. We especially love the way it's decorated. ❤️

Lovely place - lots of peace

Pros: The house in general, well furnished and super clean. The garden is a great plus and it really amazed us. We picked fresh oranges every morning from the tree and our host left in the house for us a bowl of figs. A lot of peace around, you only listen to the sound of nature. A very good stay and we will choose Liza's place again in the future if needed to stay in the area.

Cons: Nothing really. You are in the countryside, but we were surprised of not seeing mosquitos around!

A good place to spend a night

Pros: A good place to spend a night. Nice views, nice garden, everything is functional, fruits from the garden to eat. Nice owner.

Cons: Truly saying nothing was extremely bad. Probably one thing to mention - while breakfast was promised, it turned out to be just a set of food in the fridge. Neither good nor bad, but it's just worth clarifying in advance.

Lovely house surrounded by Cretan nature

Pros: Liza’s Place is located 30 minutes drive outside of Chania city center, surrounded by beautiful Cretan landscape with views of the famous White Mountains. There is also a path that leads to the mountains as well as the European hiking trail E4. For anyone interested in hiking activities on the island, it is the ideal place. The house is spacious, lovingly furnished and very clean. Everything is well maintained. There is also a backyard with furniture and lemon/orange trees, which we were allowed to try out. The perfect nature experience! The owners are welcoming and very helpful. We will definitely come back!
