Rock House's Villa Melody

Fantastic holiday in a lovely, well-equipped house.

Pros: The house was spacious and well-equipped. The air-con worked well (which is not true for all properties elsewhere in Crete, sadly) and was a blessing during the heatwave for some of the days while we were there. The pool and garden space were also a good size and well maintained, and the house had maid service about every 2 days. The location was very good, with lots of restaurants and a beach in easy walking distance, but we also had a car to explore further afield, so the private parking was also a bonus. The location of the houses behind locked gates made it feel very private and secure despite the hustle and bustle of the village being at the end of the driveway. We did not interact with the owner or housemaid very often as we were out and about but they were very friendly when we did meet them.

Cons: Nothing - all good.

Amazing property

Pros: We just returned from our 11 nights stay at this wonderful property. The property is very clean and had everything we needed for our comfortable stay . Nice touch on the arrival a fresh fruits and a bottles of wine 😊The location of the villa absolutely amazing, everything so close :bars, restaurants, shops, beach. Local beach is a three minute walk .We really enjoyed a Greek food . The pool was clean and a good size which we enjoyed a lot as the weather was hot..Air conditioning is provided and the house interior decor is very nice. Villa was cleaned during our stay and bedding was changed. Agis was welcoming and friendly and Sophia our cleaning lady was so kind,helpful.and we had a bit of chat :) Yioula was very helpful when I need to change the dates of our holiday as I’ve made a mistake looking at the wrong year for the school holidays.Thank you 😊 I would highly recommend Villa Melody

Crete was amazing, accommodation made it a memorable

Pros: It was a great relaxing place after a busy day exploring the area. Our hosts were amazing, they gave as great advice with what to see and easy to contact. If you are looking for an authentic Greek accommodation that leaves you never wanting to leave then this is your place. Very quiet haven in a great area ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Relaxing stay in a beautiful villa

Pros: Amazing villa with our own pool, lovely hosts who helped us with anything we needed! Very close to everything but it still felt private, very calm and quiet. We loved our stay and would be very happy to stay here again! Thank you Agis and Yioula!!

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at this villa – great value and high quality throughout. The decoration was tasteful, and the villa was very well equipped. We especially enjoyed the private pool, terrace, rooftop, and garden – perfect for relaxing as a family. The owners were kind and responsive, making everything easy. Highly recommended as a wonderful private alternative to a standard hotel for a family of four!

A little bit of heaven.

Pros: The house was well equipped and the beds comfortable. It was very clean with plenty of towels and hot water. Even though it was in the middle of Platanias the setting of the house made it feel like it was in the middle of nowhere. Really peaceful, even in the evening. The pool was fabulous and the hosts were on hand if you needed anything. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants around and the beach is close too.

Perfect stay

Pros: The location was excellent. Hosts were very responsive but at the same time left us to our own devices although on hand to help with anything you needed. The villa is very comfortable and had everything you need. We would definitely recommend staying here and will choose this accommodation again if we return to the area.

Pros: Such a wonderful property and we had a great 10 night stay. The property is clean and well kept with everything we needed to be comfortable and spend time in plantanias. The pool was clean and a good size which we enjoyed a lot as the weather was hot with sun and shade in the garden. We couldn’t believe how quiet our stay was considering we were in the town and next to a couple of hotels. The beach is a three minute walk. And access to tourist sights and experiences easily accessible. The supermarket is only five minutes away and we found the wonderful butchers (meating group) for tasty food, meats and cheeses only nine minutes away. We used the property barbecue which was amazing. Air conditioning is provided and the house interior decor is lovely and one can see that Yioula and Agis have put thought and care into ensuring that guests are comfortable. 10/10 for the comfortable beds as a really good nights sleep is much needed after the sun sea and the tasty Greek cuisine.

Cons: Agis was welcoming and friendly and Sophie our cleaner so kind and helpful. There is nothing we didn’t like about the property.

Absolutely brilliant week in The Rock House Villa.

Pros: Everything was superb for us, location, privacy, facilities, pool were all fantastic, as were the hosts. The Villa is 2 minutes walk from the beach and there are bars and supermarkets within 1 minute walk. Would highly recommend this property. Sun passes directly over top of villa (July) so it was full on the pool area from around 10am till 6pm. After that there was a lovely rooftop veranda to sit on till later in the evenings 😊

Cons: If there’s one minor gripe it would be the noisy grasshoppers in the trees, but it never really bothered us tooo much. That’s nature for you. The locals birds quietened them down when they came to feed on them..
