Villa Eleonas

Pros: Hidden away within an amazing garden, this fabulous villa is a true gem. If you're looking for a tranquil holiday with all the amenities close by, this is the perfect spot. Vamos and its nearby villages are particularly picturesque and charming, with plenty of lovely little restaurants to discover. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely villa in quiet Cretan village

Pros: Beautiful villa in a gorgeous small village. Ideal location, walking distance to a few tavernas, cafes, mini markets. 15 min drive from nearest beach and 25 minutes from Lake Kournas (our favourite place we went all holiday - highly recommend a visit especially if you have young children who like swimming). Lovely spacious villa. Very comfortable. Good hot shower. Loved the sun terrace! Beautiful garden outside - sadly couldn’t enjoy it due to mosquitoes but this can’t be helped. Pool was small but refreshing. Nice welcome goodies on arrival. Big fridge/freezer and we’ll equipped kitchen. Good communication from host, easy check in. Effective air con. Loved the roof terrace, gets the sun all day. Very friendly cats who our daughter took a shining to! Overall such a lovely clean villa, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cons: It was all fantastic however the pool very cold due to its position it doesn’t get the sun at all (visited start of October). Not such an issue for ourselves but too cold for toddler to use. And sad we couldn’t enjoy the garden due to mosquitoes - can’t be helped! Lots of mosquito repellent / candles provided by host and easily available to buy from local shop. We spent all our outside time on the sun terrace where there were minimal mosquitoes so we didn’t mind too much! Excellent travel cot provided although would have been nice to have a high chair too. Would have been nice to have an information booklet/brochure in the villa about things to do in local area, restaurant recommendations, nearest bank, hospital etc however we just worked it all out ourselves.

Lovely private villa in private gardens

Pros: Excellent location in the heart of Vamos, but still felt quite rural; walking distance to local restaurants and the local bakery. Private location in lovely gardens. Great views of the mountains from the large upstairs terrace, space for table and 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers and more. Very clean comfy beds and lots of hot water. Definitely stay here again, not if, but when we return

Great house and lovely hosts we’ll be back!

Pros: The amenities and style is spot on. The pool is fantastic. Nice mattresses and A/C working well.

Cons: One thing to note are the mosquitoes mainly because of the tiny pond outside the terrace.

Pros: We had the best time staying at Eleonas. We were attracted by the beautiful garden in the photos and it did not disappoint. The pool was wonderful and it was one of the best parts of our holiday sitting in the beautiful surroundings eating breakfast and swimming. I would recommend anyone staying to rent a car so you can reach the places close by.

Pros: Nous avion passé un très bon séjour dans ce petit village typique. La maison et son extérieur est conforme au photos. La taverne juste à côté est très bonne.

Super séjour cadre magnifique et proche des commodités

Pros: La maison et le jardin etait très agréable, on s'y sent comme chez soit. La piscine fait du bien et le cadre est exceptionnel, nous avons beaucoup apprécier se prélasser dans le jardin même si les cigales était plus que bruyante. L'emplacement est idéal pour un accès rapide aux plages du nord de la Crète. Les restaurants de Vamos sont très bien, accessibles à pied, la superette est très proche de la maison et très pratique

Cons: il manque peut etre un peu de vaisselle (verres)

Pros: Vanha stone house oli remontoitu vanhaa kunnioittaen, nykyaika huomioiden. Villa Eleonasin henki avautuu pysähtymällä ja kuulemalla vanhan stone housen äänetöntä tarinaa. Villaa ympäröi lumoava puutarha yrtteineen, kukkineen, puineen, polkuineen,kissoineen. Yhteydenpito isäntä Costasin kanssa sujui miellyttävästi ja hyvin.

Cons: Ei mitään mainittavaa.

Would recommend it to everyone,beautiful garden with lovely roses and shrubs and delicious Orange and lemon trees.

Pros: Charming villa and central to Vamos.Owner was extremely helpful sorting out a few problems very quickly.Such a lovely Man.Thank you.
