Sfakia On the Beach

Exceptional comfort on magnificent south coast

Pros: Wonderful location, every amenity and comfort provided, great parking and excellent hostess. Thoroughly recommend for a relaxing comfortable stay.

Fantastic place!

Pros: We loved Sfakia on the beach! It has a wonderful location above a small beach, secluded but yet very close to tavernas and shops. The apartment is nicely renovated, well equipped and comfortable. Outside is a terrace with a fantastic view of the sea. The contact with Sofiea, the host was super; she is a very warm, generous and friendly person.

Visit Sfakia and stay here!

Pros: As close to the beach as possible! We had a view of the sea in both directions. It is a 5 min walk to the bus station (v easy to get to Chania/Imbros etc.). The house was unbelievably well equipped - first aid kit, sewing kit... lots of towels etc etc. Sofia (our host) left coffee pods, milk, oil, jams, wine, etc. to welcome us.

Cons: Sad to leave :-(

Lovely apartment. Really lovely balcony overlooking the bay. Pretty, quiet bay. Generous owner.

Pros: Lovely apartment. Fully (well) equiped kitchen. Very generous wellcome pack. Really lovely balcony overlooking the bay - early morning sun hits the table/chairs. Pretty flower display. Pretty and quiet bay without boats. Beach a few steps down. Some sand too! Very friendly owner - provided lots of material to ensure we could find our way. Also very quick to respond to any queries. Short trip to the minimarket. Even shorter trip to a restaurant (big balcony overlooking bay, great food). Very friendly cleaning staff. The owner permitted us to stay a couple of hours after checkout to await our taxi (clearly generally subject to other bookings, cleaning rota, etc), which made the last bit of our stay so much more enjoyable.

A lovely place to RnR after hiking through Crete.

Pros: The location right above the beach was perfect. Great views and plenty of outdoor furniture so you could soak in the surroundings while eating breakfast. Lovely village vibe with plenty of choices for dining. The apartment was very clean and the welcome pack of beer, wine, juice, coffee pods, tea bags, toast etc was great. Easy and quick response from host.

Pros: This was by far the highlight of all the accommodation we stayed in Crete!! It was beautiful beyond words, and the hostess was so helpful and responsive! The location is sublime! A few steps from the room takes you to the little secluded beach below. The view from our veranda was incredible! Easy access to all the restaurants. Could have stayed much longer!

Beautiful and peaceful location

Pros: Location was perfect. Few steps from the beautiful beach and village with tavernas. Very welcoming host who gave us perfect instruction to find location by car. Wine, beer, water, in fridge and a fruit basket as a welcome gift. Coffee capsules and bred and marmelaid for breakfast. We loved this peaceful place, watching the sea and listening to the waves from our outdoor space.

The best stay in Crete. Magical location / views. A traditional feel like staying at my Yiayias house🥰🥰

Pros: Magical setting. Balcony overlooking the water and mountains. Beautiful view of the sunset. Location perfect - so close to everything. Room so comfortable/clean/traditional - I felt like I was staying at my Yiayias house. 🥰 I’ll be back🇬🇷😊
