Pros: This is a spacious flat with three good sized balconies; it is clean with good facilities, pleasantly decorated and it is in an excellent position. There is a lovely beach at Nea Chora (about ten minutes walk in one direction) and the old town is about ten minutes walk in the other direction. To have a parking space in such a position is an excellent bonus. This feels like a part of real Greece where Greeks are living, not a tourist centre. There is, therefore noise from the road at the front of the flat and occasional dog barking from neighbouring houses but we found that with the doors closed at night and the air conditioning running it was perfectly quiet and comfortable. Communication with Natalia, the host, was easy and very pleasant.

Cons: It is worth mentioning that when there is significant wind from the northern sector Nea Chora Beach becomes rather rough for swimming. However, there are pretty and very sheltered bays that offer more potential (depending upon the exact wind direction) at Iguana Beach about 10 minutes drive to the west and Tersenas about 25 minutes drive to the east. There are certainly buses to Tersenas and probably Iguana Beach but I didn't check that one - we used a hire car. There are other bays that are worth exploring but for us there was rarely any wind so we used Nea Chora a lot.

Great family/group stay for Chania, close to Old Town and High Way for day trips

Pros: Location was superb and parking was a plus since it's hard to find in Chania. Apartment was spacious, clean with all the ammenities one might need to feel at home.

Perfect place to stay in Chania for families with walking distance to the old town

Pros: The apartment is very well located, just outside the old Chania (5 minutes walk). It has a private parking in the shade, easily accessible for small cars. The apartment is very clean and it has 3 balconies including a spacious one in the shade with a big confortable sofa. It has a lot of practical things included like a washing machine (including a drying rack with room outside in the sun to be put), a dishwasher, manual juicer to do orange juice and others. The apartment is spacious and it contains 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in one room and 2 single beds in the other, perfect for families of 3 or 4. The owners were also very accommodating. The washing machine broke during our stay. We contacted them in the morning and when we came back at night, a new washing machine was installed and ready to go.

Cons: The only small negative, which is outside of the control of the owners, is that some dogs were barking in the neighbourhood a few mornings. Everything else was perfect for us !
