Mare II - Studio in Old Harbor

Pros: A lovely and cozy studio in an excellent location, just a short walk from the Old Harbor of Chania and the central market. Despite its small size, the studio is beautifully arranged and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Even though some previous reviews mentioned that the bathroom was small, it was absolutely fine for us and did not cause any inconvenience at all. The hostess was extremely kind, helpful, and quick to respond, always happy to assist with anything we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this place again. Highly recommended!

Great location and very clean unit

Pros: The property was in a great location - walking distance to the Venetian Port and the rest of the old town. The unit was clean, with a small bathroom and a fridge - allowing us to keep snacks/breakfast in the room. The air con cooled the unit down quickly which was a huge help! Access was easy and it was ok for us to come in late on the first night. Eleni was very helpful and always very responsive. Overall, a fantastic stay.

Great apartment in a perfect location

Pros: The location was perfect and right in the middle of everything. 2 minutes walk from the port. Check in and check out was very simple

Cons: The shower is very small. Its good enough for a quick shower however for someone slightly taller than the average person like myself its impossible to move.

Pleasant stay, recommended

Pros: I enjoyed my stay at the studio. The location is great, in the old town, you really feel the vibe. There is an awesome and spacious balcony where I chilled most of my time at the room. Bed was comfortable, A/C was working fine, there was a router inside the room so WIFI was great. The hosts also provide some basic cutlery, glasses and mugs, coffee machine and coffee so you can also enjoy a coffee and breakfast there. The wardrobe had a lot of hangers for my clothes, which is always appreciated and rarely given when travelling. Easy to find, communication with the host was great. In the bathroom soap was provided, and some cleaning stuff like a mop if needed. Right under there is a brunch place which I also liked a lot. All in all a very pleasant stay with my highlight being the balcony.

Cons: - The shower has been mentioned a lot, it is indeed narrow. I'm a normal size person and had to find some workarounds and get used to it but it wasn't a big deal for a short stay. - The room is never really dark, there are no shutters and the curtains are semi-blackout and still leave gaps from the windows so plenty of light getting in both in the morning but also in the night, as a shop across the street has a ridiculously strong light for security I presume. Also I found a bit annoying the very strong green 'exit' light above the door. Not sure why is that needed but it is really strong and disturbing for sleep. After the first night I had to cover it with something. - Last, beware that there is some noise in the hood, not constantly. There is good sound isolation from the windows though, but can't do miracles when the church bell is ringing or the near bar has loud music. Most of evenings though were fairly quiet.

Pros: The lady named chara was very helpful and kind. She was waiting my parents until 12 am to give them the keys and show them the studio. The location is great and everything is near . The balcony was the best part for my parents they enjoyed it very much. Very clean as well.

Cons: The bathroom its a little bit small but its okay. Other than that everything was perfect.

Pros: Πολύ όμορφο κατάλυμα, με όλες τις παροχές όπως στις φωτογραφίες και ακριβώς στο κέντρο της πόλης με πολλά μαγαζιά για φαγητό, ποτό, καφέ, supermarket. Δίπλα ακριβώς στο ενετικό λιμάνι. Είχα διαβάσει στα σχόλια ότι το μπάνιο είναι μικρό αλλά αν και είμαι 1.93 για μένα ήταν μια χαρά. Θα το ξανά προτιμήσω

Pros: On est passé un séjour très agréable. La maison était très propre et bien entretenue. Elle était joliment décorée et idéalement située, en plein cœur de la ville, ce qui permet de se déplacer à pied dans le centre sans avoir besoin de voiture. Des supermarchés, cafés et restaurants se trouvent juste à côté. De manière générale, c’est un quartier très sûr, comme nous le ressentons toujours lorsque nous venons en Crète. C’était l’endroit idéal pour les deux nuits que nous avons passées lors de notre grand voyage de noces. La communication a été excellente et l’on nous a recommandé de très bons restaurants pour le dîner, le brunch et les sorties. Malgré l’hiver, les journées étaient ensoleillées et chaudes. Les commerces en bas de l’immeuble apportent une touche locale très agréable au quartier.

Clean and worry free

Pros: Great location & vibe of being right in the city was amazing. The balcony was our favourite part of Mare II. Beaches are a little far from here but we said f*ck it and drove everywhere we wanted to. Beautiful scenic drives.

Cons: The shower is a little tight but it’s just how things are in Greece! Nothing can really be done about this! Everything was great.

Pros: Pierwszy raz byliśmy na Krecie. Ten pokój to był strzał w dziesiątkę. Znakomita lokalizacja na starym mieście, 5 min drogi do Portu Weneckiego i innych atrakcji Chani. Czysto, ładnie, duży balkon z widokiem na uliczki i kościół. Gorąco polecamy i na pewno tam wrócimy.

Miły wyjazd, gospodarz pomocny, w okolicy pełno uroczych uliczek, restauracji i malownicze widoki

Pros: Apartament zlokalizowany jest bardzo blisko wielu świetnych restauracji, W zasadzie już wychodząc z apartamentu mamy super miejsce do zjedzenia śniadania. Bardzo blisko do zatoczki gdzie jest pełno świetnych restauracji, w których można zjeść świeża rybę lub lokalne przysmaki.
