Enjoyable

Pros: Maria was a very welcoming host and was always helpful and friendly. We were met with homemade biscuits, during the stay she gave us some more lovely home cooked treats. To have the garden to use and direct access to the beach was a real bonus. The apartments were spotless

Cons: Part of the property faced a fairly busy road, although the accommodation wasn't directly on the road we could hear it. The other beach side of the property was quieter. The description was accurate regarding distance and we were a little way out of town. This wasn't an issue for the evenings but although there was a bus stop outside the apartment they only went to Chania and weren't that frequent. More buses went from the highway which was a long walk

Beautiful apartment with walkable access to the sea

Pros: Very comfortable with stunning sea views. Maria made our stay very comfortable.

Cons: A good walk from the centre of town.

Pros: Maria was very warm and welcoming, water and watermelon was in the fridge on arrival and very much appreciated. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful and we would definitely like to return in the future.

Maria's Apartments deserves 11 points, not just 10

Pros: If you are searching for a perfect holiday spot, you just found it. Your private garden with stairs to the sea. You can hide in the shade, swim in the sea, and not worry about someone stealing your mobile like on overcrowded beaches. Here, you're almost alone in the water – and we were here during the busiest season. You can even swim to a taverna of your choice, with plenty nearby. Maria is the most perfect host you can imagine: friendly, helpful, and professional.

Cons: What can you dislike about the place? As it was fully occupied and I couldn’t prolong my stay in Maria’s apartment, I moved to another villa just a 5-minute walk away. Maria kindly told me that my whole family was still welcome to spend time in the garden and on the beach. While on crowded beaches you pay for an umbrella and sunbed, here everything is at your disposal. The sea is warm and crystal clear. Efharisto.

Lovely apartment in super location

Pros: Lovely location adjacent to the beach with wonderful garden with sheltered places. Maria was welcoming and wonderful.

I read about the hospitality of Maria and that’s true!

Pros: The room with a view and a balcony at the seaside. When you wake up you see the sea and go for a swim to wake up!

Pros: María is a very friendly ,kind and welcoming person. Make you feel at home. The apartments are confortable and with all what you need to enjoy your stay in Kalives. Since few years i stay there when i come to Crete. Nice atmosphere,beautifull enjoyable garden just steps from the beach, the sound of the sea, the calm área and short walk to centre of the town...short nice walk to many shops, minimarkets,bakery,butcher, pharmacy, tavernas, and anything you need...just in front there's a main supermarket which is very practical...great place!

Peaceful beach in your back garden in well-positioned Kalyves

Pros: Excellent location to the sea, beach restaurants , supermarket and other lovely villages of the area. Lovely relaxing garden. Maria - the owner ! And George - the friendly neighbour who lives permanently on the property.

Cons: Nothing Maybe a safety deposit box could have been useful in the room.

Must go for people who are looking for the real Greece experience.

Pros: Most welcome host ever! Beautiful location, authentic, the real Greece, away from mass tourism, sea on the doorstep, beautiful garden with many seating areas, beautiful surroundings half an hour's drive from Chania and Chania airport. Supermarket across the street. Good parking nearby. nice small town with many restaurants.
