Nice to stay here if u like quiet place

Pros: Clean spacious room. Quiet place. Nice host lady. She gave some bread for breakfast. She also waited til 10 pm to give us the key.

Cons: The bathroom is kindda old style but the water pressure is strong so its ok. Plus its a bit far from chania but if u’re fan of this area then why not.

Pros: The hosts were amazing. Extremely nice and very welcoming. The room was quite large, equipped with everything you need and very clean. There are farms nearby and they brought us some cactus fruits. The location is also great, 10 minutes drive to Palaiochora and 1 hour to Elafonisi. You need a car to move around.

Cons: The AC unit was a bit outdated and noisy but if set on low it’s ok. No hot water in the shower, only lukewarm but in such hot weather some might actually prefer it.

Pros: Nice quiet place away from noise. Extra clean. Safe, has cctv cameras.The view is great. Hosts extremely friendly The husband allowed us to pick the pomegranates off their tree..Close to Krios Beach and Paleochora Beach and town.Local bakery within walking distance. Excellent bread.

Pros: Owners are very polite, our room was clean and was being cleaned every two days. The towels were changed once or twice during our 7 days stay. There is a lot of space. Terrace door has a mosquito net and a light blocking door,you can make your room dark for sleeping. AC is included in the price. There were all kinds of plates, glasses and cups. Fridge is small but has a lot of space. Parking is available at the place. Location is close to Palaiochora - the closest beach.

Cons: There is nothing that we didn't like about the Kountoura rooms. The location of the whole city is remote. The city itself doesn't have a beach. It says 'beach' on the map but its a very wild beach with no market nearby. If you drive towards Palaiochora there are many better wild beaches on the way. And Palaiochora beach itself at the end. Elafonisi beach is 53 kilometers away and in order to get to it you have to go towards Palaiochora anyway, because the closest route (23km) to Elafonisi is unsafe for driving.
