Wonderful stay with mountain views
Pros: We absolutely loved our stay here. The place is beautiful, all stone, with large windows opening onto the mountains. It feels calm, warm, and very well thought out. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. There was a carafe of red wine waiting on the table, a plate of Christmas cookies, and even a Greek spirit in the fridge. Little touches like that make a big difference. The apartment was decorated for the holidays and it was really lovely. Inside, it’s spread over two floors, with two large, bright rooms. Everything felt comfortable and cozy, especially the beds. The next morning, the host surprised us with small spinach pies, which was such a kind gesture. This is the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. As a bonus, the house cat, Julia, slipped into our unit and kept us company for the evening. Cuddling a cat definitely added to the experience.
Cons: Honestly, we have nothing negative to say. If we had known how good it would be, we would have stayed longer.

Comfortable holiday home in quiet mountain location near Sougia - ideal for hiking and peaceful beaches
Pros: Cosy, comfortable with modern facilities and traditional features … everything we needed for our week’s stay. Quiet mountain location with lots of good hiking routes nearby (we took a taxi to the Irini Gorge trail head and walked back to the apartment, also did the walk from Sougia to Lissos then back by boat). Enjoying breakfast on the sunny terrace, and starlit drinks on the upper balcony. (We had apartment number 4) Good location for day trips to other attractions in the region (with a hire car). Tavernas and supermarkets a short drive away.
Cons: Difficult to find when arriving in the dark - a sign post indicating the driveway would be helpful.

Ideal for vacation off the beaten path!
Pros: The owner is extremely helpful and generous. The location is off the beaten path with a fabulous view, but also close enough to the beach and trekking sites that you can easily enjoy those as well.

Clean and quiet
Pros: The hotel was very clean and quiet, with all the necessary equipment provided. Especially appreciated the many complimentary details : olive oil , water, wine in the room , which made the stay even more enjoyable. Rooms had balcony and nice mountains view .

Pros: Best stay in Sougia. The apartments are furnished with class (rock and wood), the bed is comfortable and the location is excellent (close to Sougia but in the serenity of the mountains). Go check out the Rebetiko restaurant in Matala, run by the same family. Amazing food!

Pros: The holiday apartment has a great location for hiking trips and a wonderful view in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped for a self sustained stay. The host Wanda was amazing. She had great tips for hiking and dining options and did everything to make you feel at home. Thanks a lot for the delicious surprise pastries 🤤

Unique in a good way
Pros: The property is unique with authentic charm. It is also modern and comfortable. The driveway challenge was exciting. The local taverna was friendly and provided a lovely meal. The u-tube video on how to find the entry point is very helpful, just look for signs and other markers so that you can spot them as you arrive.
Cons: We missed having access to a washing machine. The lack of payment by credit card was inconvenient but not fatal to our experience.

Will return to this charming retreat
Pros: Beautiful apartment set in the mountains and a 9 min drive to sougia. Very Peaceful. Lovely taverna close by. Host Wanda and her husband were on hand with advice about the area and also brought us delicious treats every day. A welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch.
Cons: Need to take care at night using the bathroom with the spiral staircase
