Raphael Evangellos Villa

A perfect week in the country.

Pros: This villa was perfect for us - close to a small village with an amazing restaurant and less than 20 minutes from many beaches. We chose it mainly because we were 4 couples who wanted a pool and that is a difficult combination, but we found that we loved the out-of-the-way area, where we barely met any other tourists. The view from the house is amazing: rolling hills give way to The White Mountains. The house itself is the former family home of the owner and that shows: while there have been some improvements and extensions it is still more homely than modern. Given that daytime temperatures didn't dip below 30c, we were barely inside at all, except to take advantage of the AC, which was in every main room.

Pros: The village, the host, the villa, the facilities everything was awesome! Kitchen had everything. Hosted welcomed us with wine and olive oil, sad that we could not carry them along with us

A charming villa in a charming place with nice owners, and for a very good price.

Pros: The hosts are nice, kind, friendly, helpful people. The villa is spacious, comfortable, beautiful. Air condition in every room. The kitchen has everything. The village is small and very nice. Navigation tip: we found that the best way is to go to the North through Almyrida (that is a village on the closest beach) either you go further to east or west. The road Google maps gives you seemed much harder. Also when first arriving, you should come through Almyrida, and when you are in Gavalohori, turn sharp left on a narrow street (see fotos), that's the easiest way to find the villa. The number is 156.

Cons: It is out of the touristy places - and that was a plus for us, because its nice and quiet, absolutely worth a couple of minutes more driving.

Pros: Замечательная большая вилла. Вид на горы. Приятно удивило наличие дополнительной душевой с туалетом в отдельной пристройке на улице, помимо двух душевых с туалетами внутри дома. Везде есть кондиционеры. Есть стиральная и посудомоечная машины и средства к ним. Было все необходимое. Приятно, что были не только комплект полотенец для душа, но и пляжные полотенца. Мы жили 2 недели и при желании могли поменять (а не стирать) постельное и полотенца. Большой бассейн с одинаковой глубиной и есть детский. Хозяева очень гостеприимные. Приехали нас встречать и показывать виллу в 12 часов ночи. Оставили и домашнее вино, ракию и оливковое масло. А также печенье. На любые вопросы отвечают очень быстро и готовы помочь.

Cons: До ближайшего пляжа 10 минут на машине. Но мы сразу знали, где находится вилла. Через неделю это расстояние уже не казалось проблемным. Если кондиционер не включать и спать с открытыми окнами, слышны крики петухов и блеяние овец. Со временем к этому тоже можно привыкнуть)

Pros: Wir hatten das große Glück, einige Tage in der Raphael Evangellos Villa in Gavalochori zu verbringen – und es war von Anfang bis Ende ein Traum. Die Villa ist nicht nur wunderschön eingerichtet, sondern auch äußerst gepflegt und sauber. Jedes Detail ist liebevoll gestaltet, sodass man sich sofort willkommen und wohlfühlt. Die Lage ist ideal: ruhig, eingebettet in die Natur, und dennoch nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom charmanten Dorf Gavalochori entfernt, wo man hervorragende Tavernen, kleine Cafés und eine freundliche Dorfgemeinschaft findet. Besonders begeistert hat uns der private Pool mit Blick auf die Hügel – perfekt zum Entspannen und Genießen der kretischen Sonne. Auch die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen: voll ausgestattete Küche, bequeme Betten, moderne Bäder und viele kleine Extras, die den Aufenthalt besonders machen. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich herzlich, hilfsbereit und sorgen mit vielen kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten dafür, dass man sich wie zu Hause fühlt.

Pros: A comfortable house with everything we needed, including 4 bedrooms and an amazing pool. The lovely family that owns the place were amazing and very attentive hosts.

Pros: The vacation home turned out to be a fantastic choice. First of all, I was delighted with its space and convenient amenities - everything I needed was at my fingertips. In addition, the cleanliness was top-notch, which is of great importance to me. An additional advantage was the kind hosts, who welcomed us with homemade delicacies and sweets, which made us feel at home right away. It was truly a successful stay!

Pros: Πεντακάθαρο σπίτι με όλα όσα χρειαστήκαμε δύο τετραμελείς οικογένειες. Οι οικοδεσπότες καταπληκτικοί και φιλόξενοι άνθρωποι μας κατατοπισαν για τα πάντα.Ο εξωτερικός χώρος μαγευτικός με πολλές επιλογές για να κάτσεις να πάρεις το πρωινό σου ή να χαλαρώσεις το βράδυ κάτω από τα αστέρια.
