Antheia Houses

Pros: ,Location is really nice, walking distance from the little center of Vamos and a short drive from the places we planned to visit. The little cottage is cute, cozy and rustic, gardens are beautiful nice atmosphere

Cons: So, the cottage is a bit basic, but the two main issues were: 1. the drain in the shower... no, I do not like mopping up at the best of times and certainly no fun when the drains just do not work, and this is a holiday. 2. mosquitos are obviously a problem, so leave some options of repellents or other solution. We didn't sleep much

Vamos

Pros: On the outskirts of Vamos, location is quiet and peaceful. Short walk to restaurants and bars in village.

Pros: The location cannot be more perfect, centric to everything but still keeping the calmness. The house is big, clean, with enough utilities and comfortable. The common areas are nice and clean aswell. It is nice that is only four houses so you can even have the pool for yourself at most times. The owner as well as the workers are friendly and helpful. If we go back to Crete we will repeat

Cons: Get ready for mosquitoes every night so from the first day buy spray anti mosquitoes and afterbite

We loved it!

Pros: It was our second time at Antheia Houses so we knew what to expect. We had a fantastic two weeks holiday (family of three ),very relaxing,welcoming and authentic place.Simple with everything you need to have a fantastic holiday.The garden around the houses is amazing and gives you a lot of privacy.You are in an old part of the village which gives you the real ,authentic feel of Crete . We love Vamos, it’s a beautiful village with all amenities .Location is fantastic you can walk everywhere; bakery,local shops,taverns and of course cafenion-great place for an evening drink with local people around you!10 min drive to a closest beach. Lovely and friendly owner Christina.

Beautiful rustic setting with comfortable accommodation

Pros: Fabulous setting, with really comfortable accommodation and lovely pool. Couldn’t fault it

Fantastic.

Pros: The accommodation is lovely. It’s very clean and spacious. The kitchen has plenty of utensils and crockery. There’s a swimming pool and sun loungers for relaxing. Christina is a great host: extremely helpful and friendly and quick to answer any queries. There is a supermarket and bakery in Vamos if you wish to self cater, but also a selection of tavernas as well. Christina also provided a book of walks around Vamos which we found helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Great accommodation and location.

Pros: Authentic village location with traditional but modern accommodation. Close to all amenities whilst still private, peaceful and tranquil. Lush, green surroundings with beautiful, private and relaxing pool area. Extremely hospitable, approachable and accommodating owners especially Christina who was always available to answer any queries, requests or engage in friendly conversation without being intrusive. Gina, the cleaner, was also very friendly and efficient. Everyone contributed to making our stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

Cons: Nothing, as antheia houses more than met our personal requirements and needs.

Our new favourite place!

Pros: Our fourth visit in Crete and what a wonderful experience.Vamos is a wonderful authentic Greek village ,the property is located in an old part of beautiful Vamos,fantastic views over the White Mountains,walking distance to all you need.Bakery 6 min walk away,tourist office ,few tavernas ,kafenion ,local shops ,chemist…10 min drive to the nearest beach.We really enjoyed our two weeks holiday in Antheia Houses!!!The house was equipped with everything you may need ,kitchen simple but sufficient for our needs.We loved everything about this place.You have a 4 little houses but all set in a nice green garden so you have a lot of privacy.Pool is great,which we used a lot!Must have a night swim;)

Lovely apartments in a small village

Pros: Small complex with only 4 villas, so practically always private ise of the pool. Vamos is on walking distance and is a nice small village with some shops, a bakery and around 10 restaurants.

Relaxed stay in a quiet location with local tavernas nearby. Very friendly and accommodating host.

Pros: Traditional Greek village dwellings set in pretty gardens. Nice pool.
