Elysia Boutique Hotel

Pros: The Elysia is such a lovely place to stay...extremely comfortable with innovative design. The bed and the shower were perfect. The breakfast was the best we've had in a hotel. We also had both a lunch and dinner at their restaurant which should get a Michelin star. Best of all, every staff member should be commended for their superior service. A totally memorable stay in beautiful Chania!

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Everything was amazing, clean, lovely staff, perfect location. The best thing of all was the breakfast. It was a real feast. I would totally recommend the place and I will be back.

Perfect choice for 6 days. Really enjoyed our stay there and will certainly come back again.

This hotel is an engineering marvel.

Pros: If you have any connections to the engineering, architectural, design or construction industries you will be amazed to see this property which, in fact, was designed and built by its owners, an engineering family, I’m told. The level of detail in every square inch of the building is astounding. I have rarely seen architectural structures designed, built and furnished with such forethought and precision. Besides all that, the chef (as of Nov 2025) is hugely talented. In all my travels, I have never encountered such opulent breakfasts. At dinner time, even you don’t consider yourself a big fan of quail (I normally don’t like it because it can be dry) order it at this hotel and prepare to be amazed.

Cons: Opportunity for improvement: your light switch panels are difficult to deal with, and also difficult to see, because their written labels are tiny and dark, requiring reading glasses and a bright phone light to make them out. An easy fix to this problem would be to re-label them with self-adhesive vinyl letters. Using bright white letters in a larger font would make them more legible.

Pros: Well designed room , perfect location , smart living environment!

Cons: Nothing ! The only thing needs improvement is the service during breakfast (stuff should be quicker and more accurate on serving orderings)

Overall a great hotel to stay, relax & enjoy the hospitality of Chania

Pros: The breakfast offer was outstanding as were the breakfast staff especially Demosthenes he made feel welcome & comfortable each day

Cons: The air conditioning was a disappointment- we were unable to select our own temperatures it appeared to be an issue with the whole system - a technician was required to reset - which made our stay less comfortable

Wouid definitely recommend to anyone - business, couple, or family.

Pros: Everything from the interior design to the layout to the location (and especially the staff) was high spec but relaxing and welcoming. The food and restaurant were brilliant. The team though were exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and caring - from preparing meals off-menu for the kids to ensuring we have a breakfast bundle for our early morning flight, and double checking we had fluffy robes in our rooms - the experience from start to finish was brilliant. The beds are comfy, the rooms are well designed, and even touches like multi-area lighting are we thought out and create an elevated experience.

Cons: Honestly - nothing.

Pros: Loved the location and its cleanliness. It was fabulous. Staff so accommodating and pleasant.

A superb hotel in a central part of Chania.

Pros: Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectation. Credit must go the the excellent staff. As with all superior hotels this hotel dripped with understated quality. The breakfast was undoubtedly a highlight.
