Value for money, views and tasty food

Pros: The really friendly staff and manager were very polite and showed genuin interest in offering good service and making me feel warmly welcome as their guest. I booked a double room with a balcony that has side sea view, from where I could even see some sandy beaches at a distance as well as the sea and nice surroundings. The popular restaurant on site, Restaurant Theodosí, which is set on the ground floor of the hotel, has sea views and serves excellent food. The filled zucchini flowers were delicious. I ordered full course during my one night stay, and the room, service and food met my expectations. The modern bathroom connected to my room was very clean. I would give a 9,5 score out of 10 based on the experience from my short stay.

Cons: To get a full score for hotel facilities the pool could've been a little larger, but is naturally restricted by the size of the outdoor space. But I was staying at the end of season and choose not to take a swim due to the weather that day, so it didn't make much of a difference. Although the road to the hotel isn't steep, be aware that this area of town is a little elevated. Which however represented no problem to me, and regarded from the positive side it offers great views to be a little higher up.

A lovely welcoming Greek hotel

Pros: Breakfast was delicious. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We had supper at the hotel twice which was delicious and the cocktails were great too. Our room had it's own little balcony. They stayed up late to check us in when we arrived on our late flight. It is a family owned Greek hotel and has all those lovely vibes you would expect!

Cons: Nothing - we think it was perfect!

Great

Pros: Alexis is a very good family run hotel. Everyone is friendly and all the advertised facilities are very good. We liked the location. Chania centre was 30 minutes walking, alternatively the free bus leaves the car park about 10 minutes walk away. Agia Marina is 5 miles away, a two hour walk along the coast path or a 2 euro bus ride every 20 minutes from the bottom of the road. The local beach (look out to sea from hotel and slight left) was clean, soft sanded and almost no pebbles to walk into the sea from. We have marked the location down simply because the immediate path from the hotel to the beach is quite rough but once you've dropped down a level it is tarmaced. We ate breakfast every day with a good selection of food each day looked after by a very smiley Maria - thank you x.A great holiday.

Very Pleased -nice food and clean facility

Pros: Room was clean and had all that was needed in it. Breakfast did not disappoint. I had read previous reviews and all were correct in saying that it is filling and has a great variety. We only had a breakfast option and were full until dinner time. The restaurant also had tasty well presented food for a range of tastes in a nice environment. Very happy with our visit. Would recommend and come again! Beach towels were provided which we used for the pool and jacuzzi.

Cons: Gym area is limited and located in the reception area which can be a bit daunting but did see a gentlemen using it so better there than no where i guess.
