Belmondo Hotel

We decided at the last minute to sprnd the night in Chania and are happy with our Belmindo choice

Pros: We liked everything in the room with the Italian style and must of all the very big shower and the terrace.

Pros: The view from the balcony was stunning, the room was spacious, the breakfast was different and delicious each day and the bathroom liked newly updated. Very responsive via what's app before arrival.

Cons: The decorative style was not for me, but that's personal preference, and it was more like renting a room in terms of wider facilities, just a reception area... no lounge, eating space , bar... so not really a hotel. Also reception closes at 4pm, which means if you arrive after that you have to let yourself in. That does work ok, but it's just a bit of a soulless welcome at 10.30 at night.

Lovely stay in chania with nice staff and great breakfast

Pros: The property was in a great location! The room was modern and nice! I liked how the staff prepares individual, delicious breakfast trays for guests! This prevents food waste that other hotels with buffets often have

Cons: I would have preferred a room with a balcony or more natural light

Lovely town, excellent hotel, friendly staff.

Pros: The hotel is centrally located, very close to the heart of Chania and its good quality restaurants. Our room was at the back of the hotel, nice and quiet, without any noise from the street below. A lovely breakfast, which was different every day, was served on the balcony by friendly staff. On the last morning they even provided a breakfast pack as we were up and away early. Giorgios organised taxis for our arrival and departure and the staff in the hotel were always polite and helpful. Chania is a lovely town to visit and we would recommend the Hotel Belmondo to stay. Watching the sun set from the lighthouse pier is a real treat!

Pros: One of best hotel room views I have ever stayed in - fortunate enough to be upgraded to the top floor Belmondo room with spectacular views over the Venetian harbour. Also looked after very well by Chris serving lovely breakfast on the room’s huge terrace!

Came to Crete to see where my Australian father was in May of 1941. Battle of Crete.

Pros: Great location. Lovely room with balcony plus a breakfast that would feed 4 persons, not just 2! Chris answered all of OUR questions with grace. Taxi back to airport was on time and place at 0600am.

Cons: This hotel is magic for persons under the age of 55 and fit. As we were both 77 and 76 ( still reasonably fit) we found the 2 sets of 15 steps up to Reception hard work with big cases. Chris did the chore for us, however we had an early flight to Athens several days later and the desk is not manned over night ....................................therefore getting our cases down 30 steps and keeping as quiet as possible was hard work. Perhaps consider installing narrow wooden ramps, that enables customers, to slide there cases up and down with ease.

Pros: Very well renovated, hammam was a great addition and the balcony was stunning! Great addition that the breakfast was served in the room, still the food options could be improved a bit.
