Lovely character property on the edge of the old town.

Pros: Lovely character property. The kitchen/dining area was a good size to sit around the table and chat. Loved sitting on the balcony to people watch and do my art. The A/C in the bedrooms was good. The villa is located on the edge of the old town and quite close to the harbour and the sea wall which is great.

Cons: Steep open staircases so okay for us but not for small children or the elderly. Bathroom was on ground floor which is a bit of a trek. The street has a lot of tourists using it and often they take photos of the house with themselves posing against the windows which can be irritating as some are very loud and take ages to take the photos.

A relaxing stay in a lovely historical house in the Old Town of Chania

Pros: The house is a beautiful historical Venetian building right in the centre of the Old Town. It has a table and chairs outside so we could enjoy the vibe of the Old Town while still being in our accommodation. Shop keepers around us, etc were really friendly, as is Chania itself. The house is very tastefully decorated. There is a large sun terrace on the roof and balconies, where you can sit and watch the street below, off the bedrooms on the first and second floor. There are small supermarket shops nearby, along with plenty of gift shops and restaurants. Having the whole house to ourselves was fantastic. Antonis' customer service and friendliness and helpfulness of surrounding local business owners is wonderful.

Cons: The electrical wiring - needs a bit of a rethink and renew. The shower room/toilet is the only one in the house and is on the ground floor. This is a long way to go, down the steep stairs if you are in the upper bedroom. The shower room needs updating. The kitchen could do with a bit more worktop space and perhaps a microwave or small oven. Perhaps an updated Kitchenette fitting would provide this without spoiling the lovely, historic kitchen/reception room on the ground floor. More space to put your stuff in the shower room would be good, as would small tables on the balconies, to put drinks on. The stairs are very steep and it's difficult to get in and out to the roof terrace - although there is probably not much can be done about this in such an historical building.

Pros: Lovely historic house over three floors in a perfect location

Cons: Steep stairs due to the age of the building - although ascending them was a good workout each time.

Perfect base for exploring Chania Old Town.

Pros: Location was excellent, right in the middle of the Old Town but the quiet end of the street. Our host was very friendly, we met him at the property having told him what time we would be arriving and answered any queries immediately. Parking was easy, although busy, at the end of the pedestrian only street. The roof area is a definite bonus!

Cons: We were told that our host is planning to do some renovation and this is definitely needed, the bathroom in particular is showing its age but the house is charming and full of character.

Beautiful location

Pros: The facade of the building was beautiful. The inside quirky. The location, just perfect. The host was friendly and accommodating. The cleaner a real Greek character. We enjoyed sitting outside on the street, using the provided table and chairs. Sipping wine, playing cards and chatting to passers by.

Cons: The property was a little worn and could do with some updating. But I don't think the accommodation would be affordable and in our price bracket if the property was done up. So on balance this is something to put up with for the benefits.

A hidden gem in the heart of old town Chania

Pros: The location was amazing and was the envy of the tourists in the street. 1 min walk from all the best Chania had to offer.

Cons: This place is perfect.

A beautiful dream

Pros: We liked the rooftop and the aircon. We also liked the kitchen and there was a lot of space and good bedding.

Cons: Great property but felt like there was a lack of privacy at times with it being such a busy location.

Pros: The location of the Villa is wonderful- we were in the heart of the old town.

Cons: The only downside was a building site opposite the villa and the noise from early hours in the morning.
