Pros: Amazing villa, nice and clean. We found ourselves surrounded by nature, where you can shower in the morning with spectacular views of the mountains outside the window – what could be a better start to the day? Great pool, barbecue, and we found everything we needed there. George is a great host. Perfect location in the lovely Skines village near Chania, a convenient spot to explore all of the western Crete. Wonderful beaches nearby (we particularly enjoyed Kissamos where you can rent a boat and go to Balos beach). The spectacular Samaria Gorge is also not far away.

Great property
Pros: The property was great. Excellent facilities, spotless and great service throughout. The neighbourhood is great with a couple of mini markets and restaurants 5-10 minutes walk away. The communication with George was very easy. I would recommend to anyone wanting to spend a few days in ‘real’ Crete while being close to Chania and the touristic area. Thanks George for a great stay!

Superb villa!
Pros: Beautiful villa, very well equipped, spacious and exceptionally clean. We found the beds to be kings size and very comfortable. It is set in a small village and surrounded by orange trees so a very peaceful setting. We hired a car and enjoyed visiting beaches, Chania, local villages, the botanical gardens and some lovely restaurants. As other reviewers stated we occasionally heard the neighbours dogs but not very often and only for a few mins at a time (probably just barking as dogs do when someone came to their house), it did not disturb us and we never heard them at night. Our girls loved the private pool and we all greatly enjoyed our stay there and wouldn’t hesitate to return when we next visit Crete. George the host was very accommodating and provided lots of information about the local area.

Pros: George est disponible et répond à toutes nos attentes ou questions. On a même eu droit à un panier d'accueil sympa ! La maison est grande, bien agencée et la vue sur les montagnes est agréable et Sans vis à vis. Il ne manque rien et tout fonctionne parfaitement. Elle est bien équipée et la literie est bonne. Possibilité de parking en prime ce qui est top. Bien ensoleillée la journée la maison elle reste fraîche c'est agréable même sans clim . Les vraies vacances reposantes si vous louez cette maison ! Si vous aimez les chats ils viennent tous vous rendre visite.
Cons: Il y a beaucoup de chiens qui aboient toute la journée autour ce qui peut perturber la quiétude du lieu. Pour la nuit avec les fenêtres fermées la clim vous ne les entendaient plus déjà. Un peu éloignée du centre.

Pros: Superbe maison, très grande, bien équipée avec une piscine magnifique. Environnement calme dans un village crétois typique. Logement très propre. George, notre hôte, était très sympathique, disponible et serviable.

Quiet and alone
Pros: Very remote and isolated area. It is very good for people who like silence. Although we were there, there were lots of cicada but in the evenings, it was very silent.
Cons: A little far away from main cities (half hour drive to Chania).

Schön, entspannend, gerne wieder
Pros: Schöne beschattete Terrasse, großer Pool im gepflegten Garten, Ruhige ländliche Gegend, voll ausgestattetes kritisches Landhaus mit großzügigen Zimmern, es sieht wirklich so aus wie auf den Bildern
Cons: Möblierung etwas älter, aber gepflegt und funktionsfähig, daher kein wirklicher Kritikpunkt

Tolles gepflegtes Haus mit einem super Aussenpool in ruhiger Lage abseits der Touristenströme.
Pros: Das gesamte Anwesen ist in einem sehr guten Zustand und gepflegt. Die Highlights des Hauses sind die überdachte Terrasse, die Hochterrasse, zu der man über die beiden Schlafzimmer kommen kann und natürlich der nachts beleuchtete Aussenpool. Erwähnenswert ist die tolle, ruhige Lage und Privatsphäre, welche auch durch das Zufahrtstor gewährleistet ist. George, der Host, ist supernett und vollumfänglich bemüht seinen Gästen einen unvergesslichen und schönen Aufenthalt zu gestalten. Er ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und antwortet sehr schnell auf jegliche Fragen. Im Fazit, hat das Haus einen sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und ich kann es empfehlen. Es ist jedoch zu berücksichtigen, dass man auf eine Auto angewiesen ist um Besorgungen zu machen und die Gegend zu erkunden. Ich würde die Villa Skine jederzeit wieder buchen - definitiv eine Empfehlung!
Cons: Der Wasserdruck an der Dusche und im restlichen Haus ist etwas zu niedrig (zumindest wenn man nordeuropäische Wassernetze gewohnt ist).
