Pros: We absolutely loved our stay. The villa was perfect, inside as well as the pool area and the owners were super nice and helpful. Elos is a mountain village but has sufficient infrastructure and it was possible to sleep without air condition as it is not too hot up there. Going to the beach requires some driving, we preferred Paleochora. We hope we will be able to come back!

Pros: Had a very nice stay at the villa. The owner is very helpful and has good tips for your holiday also (do ask him). Great location for exploring West of Crete. Local food: try Filoxenia

Nice accommodation with pool and jacuzzi in a green area
Pros: The villa is part of two accommodations under one roof with private pool and jacuzzi. The area is very green and situated in a small village.....away from the crowded tourist places. Need to have a car to see most of the nice places of the westcoast but it's worth.
Cons: No negative issues regarding this facility as we had a great time.

A lovely quiet and relaxing villa
Pros: Located above Elos, the property is perfect in many ways: - it has all the necessary amenities with AC in every rooms, comfortable beds and hot shower - it has both a good swimming pool and a hot tub - surrounded by trees, it allows for total privacy - it has ample shade and the mountain air counter the hot sun -located some 20km from the coast in 2 or 3 directions , it is a perfect spot for visiting the SW of the island with picturesque villages and beautiful beaches
Cons: All was good

Brilliant place
Pros: A lovely villa in a lovely location! There was everything we needed, and we had a most relaxing holiday here. Michael (the host) was great, he showed us round and then left us undisturbed all week (although he was easily contactable if needed). Spare sheets and towels allowed for a change mid week. Being that bit higher in the hills meant the nights were a bit cooler than on the coast, so sleeping was much easier (beds were very comfortable too)
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like about this place. Perhaps a dishwasher would have made life a bit more chilled out for us, but not having one wasn't a major issue - we ate out in the many local taverna's most nights

An exceptional place!
Pros: We had a fantastic stay at Arhontika Villas. The host was friendly and welcoming, his mother made a beautiful cake for us and the host provided fruit, olive oil, raki and delicious marmalade on the kitchen table. The Villa is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by hills and nature. The villa has excellent facilities, two bedrooms, bathroom and an extra downstairs toilet, plenty of storage and a good kitchen with all you need in terms of pots, pans, cutlery and plates. The living space is generous with a good sofa and TV, and so is the outdoor space, you have a jacuzzi, swimming pool and sun loungers. The garden is well looked after and the fragrant smell in the evening is divine! There is plently of space for parking and Elos village is very close with it's tavernas – we found that Filoxena was the best, and don't forget to drive to Milia Mountain Restaurant, the food there is exceptional.

Three nights in the mountains
Pros: We decided to spend a few days in the mountains after three nights nearby Damnoni and Amoudi beach. Despite being located in mountains (very nice mountains!), beaches are though accessible ca. 30 minutes far from Elos. The village of Elos is lovely with basic services such as a small shop, a petrol station, a few restaurants and cafés. Filoxenia restaurant was our favourite one - once being in Elos, you must visit this restaurant.
Cons: The villa is well located, but google maps navigates you very badly. It is far better to call to a villa representative in advance and to ask for correct information how to get to the villa. During sunny days it is really lovely place, but once it is cloudy, it might be covered with clouds and a little bit chilly. But both navigation and bad weather are not issues of the villa itself of course.

Very cosy house with jacuzzi in Elos!
Pros: It's a cosy house about 200m from Elos (take the road up directly between the kastanofolia restaurant and the pharmacy and follow it until you reach a big green gate). The host gave us a very warm welcome with fresh fruits, drinks and homemade cake! The jacuzzi is absolutely lovely any time of year.
Cons: Pool is unheated and mostly in the shade later in the year, but the jacuzzi is adjustable to any temperature! A few towel rods in the bathroom would be useful, but there's a foldable clothes rack outside.

Pros: Awesome place in the charming village of Elos which is a perfect base for exploring the magnificent beaches of Western Crete. The host was very friendly and responsive, gave us a warm welcome on arrival and even provided wine, fresh fruit, and the most delicious cake ever! Facilities are excellent and lots of little personal touches make this house feel special. Excellent value and highly recommended!

Just superb.
Pros: The house is exceptional. It was all you can think of and more. We called our host who picked us up. The jacuzzi was a dream come true, as was the pool. We had an amazing time, felt welcome and at home. The town is also very friendly and nice, 4 tavernas and a mini market.
Cons: The decorations and pictures were not my style, but this is a matter of individual taste and didn‘t matter much since everything else was just superb.
