Perfect in every way.

Pros: The most beautiful property with the most incredible hosts. Costas and his family went above and beyond to make our stay perfect in every way. A welcome meal on arrival, a fully stocked drinks fridge, the most delicious home grown fruit, veg, olive oil and honey. I know that Crete is well known for its hospitality but this family really were something special. The villa itself was stunning, perfect for our group of 5 adults and 4 children. We had plenty of communal space but also big spacious rooms to get away. The pool was beautifully clean and the perfect depth for little ones. We would thoroughly recommend and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for everything.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!

Pros: This is by far the most amazing villa that we have ever stayed in; the villa itself was comfortable, spotlessly clean and the owners had clearly given a lot of thought to every small detail. The thing that really ‘makes’ Casa di Grimpili a special place to stay is the owners themselves. We arrived to a lovely welcome, a full drinks fridge, products for our baby and food. We received further gifts throughout our stay and left with the most amazing olive oil. Nothing was too much trouble and when the owners say that they treat guests as family, they really do mean it! From mum welcoming us and taking our baby from tired parents, to dad coming over within minutes to fix a minor issue (and replace the oranges!) and Costas and Sofia being on hand for everything from recommendations to assistance. Thank you all so so much and we can’t wait to come back!

best place we have stayed!

Pros: I loved everything about the house! hosts where lovely and gave us free olive oil and honey and the house came stocked with fruit, vegetables, bread and drinks. My family loved the pool which we used everyday and the house is so beautiful and clean. We will definitely come back when we are in Crete again.

Perfect hosts , villa and location .

Pros: Superbly appointed and furnished to the finest specification . Worked exceptionally well for groups of friends with bedrooms all en-suite . Plenty of space and seating areas . Pool great and everything spotlessly clean . Hosts were the definition of hospitable, providing drinks groceries and the best baking of cakes and pies you could wish for . We are all well travelled but all agreed it was one of the best places we have stayed . We will definitely be returning .

Cons: Having to leave and not move in !!

Immaculately renovated. Perfectly stocked.

Pros: Easy entry. The family met us and made us feel welcome. The villa was exceptionally clean and well put together. Basics were available and it was very well renovated. Nothing moved, everything is new or seems new. The pool is clean, the water pressure is good. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The beds are comfortable. The hosts left us olive oil and vegetables from the garden. This is on of the best vacation rentals I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in over 100.

Marvelous place

Pros: Amazing and beautiful house, very well equipped with everything needed to spend comfortable holidays. Spacious rooms and a lot of additional space to spend time with friends and family. Heated swimming pool great to use in all weather conditions. Comfortable beds and great quality of bedding. Air conditioning in every room, all rooms with separate entry keeping privacy for everyone. Thanks to great hospitality of the hosts we could feel the taste of real Greek cuisine and flavours. A place that we would really like to come back to.

AMAZING VILLA&WONDERFUL HOSTS. JUST EXCELLENT!

Pros: We (group of 9 friends) can all surely say that staying in the villa was our top experience we've ever had. The villa is beautifully restored. The mix of old house with new and modern style is done perfectly. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the hosts and family, moussaka cooked by a mother, full fridge with fresh fruits, refreshments and of course, homemade delicious raki. There is a great outdoor area with a swimming pool, which saved our lives from daily high temperatures :) Each bedroom has its own bathroom and all of them are super comfortable. During our stay, we spent some time with the hosts&family, we were constantly receiving food&snacks, stocks of olive oil and plenty of smile :) They were always available to help and happy to share recommendations for visiting Creta. To sum up, the villa and the incredible hospitality of the owners definitely exceeded our expectations. We couldn't get better than this! Our stay was just excellent!!!

Cons: There is absolutely nothing we could complain about. This stay was more than PERFECT.

Pros: Absolutely amazing experience!! We have stayed in a few vacation rentals (some very upscale places) but this was by far our best experience! Our fridge was stocked. The beds where exquisite! So comfortable! The host was always available! We where graced with incredible homemade meals by the hosts mother. The entire home and pool where wonderful! 100% perfection on every level! I would definitely go back and stay! Thank you for everything!!

Wonderfully charming villa with exceptional hosts

Pros: The villa is incredible! We were welcomed by the family with a cooked meal and fully stocked fridge and cupboards. They continued to delight us with food and snacks delivered throughout the stay, including local honey and home made olive oil and spirits.

Cons: Nothing...This is one of the best places I've stayed.

Lovely place, In smallish village 20 km to Chania where we spent most days for lunch in port.

Pros: The food and wine and fruit was excellent and plentiful. Host was excellent.

Cons: The surrounding houses were very close with a lot of roaming cats. Weather cold on arrival.
