La 'belle Luxury House Chania

Pros: Location was excellent. The place was clean and had all amenities. The view was great and is very close to the sea. The bed is extremely comfortable. There are lots of restaurants with good food and drinks nearby, and a free parking 1 minute away. You will see complains, but they are mainly suggestions, our stay at this location was very pleasurable and we enjoyed our stay a lot.

Cons: We had no towels changed during out stay, we were asked if we needed anything so maybe we should have also mentioned it, might be available upon request. The walls of the building are made of various bricks and stones, which are very pleasing aesthetically, but leave tiny dust bits on the floor every time you touch them so a portable vacuum cleaner would have helped. The stairs can be quite dangerous for a tall person, they are very narrow.

Pros: The terraces outside and the view of the sun on the sea in the early morning visible from the bedroom.

Cons: The spiral staircase was a little tricky at times, it would be difficult for some guests I think.

Good choice for central Chania & the old harbour

Pros: Nice central location for the old harbour, plenty of cafes and resturants close by and a lovely view of the sea from the balcony. Property had all of the essentails required for a holiday stay. Company kept in touch throughout the holiday and kindly arranged a taxi back to the airport.

Cons: All good, the spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge sometimes after a glass or two of wine!

Pros: We stopped for a lovely week in the house, which was a short walk along the seafront to the lighthouse and harbour and all the bars and restaurants in chania. Extremely comfortable bed with a view out over the sea - idyllic! Air conditioning upstairs and downstairs, and a very helpful insect net over the windows out to the balcony meaning you can listen to the waves all night without worrying about being bitten! Good shower, lovely decor. Small kitchenette also useful! Check ins from staff was also welcomed.

Cons: The house is right behind a busy cafe bar which is open until 1am, so perhaps not suitable if you are a fan of early nights! The walls in the bedroom are brick and shedded dust throughout the stay - and had made quite a mess by the end of our week long stay. There was also some light building work going on next door during our stay, though this was never at unsociable hours. There's an odd set up where you need to turn on the hot water using a fuseboard switch 15 mins before showers - but not the end of the world. Some hooks to dry out towels inside when it's raining would also have been useful and were missed.

Great location, comfortable bed, everything you need

Pros: The little house was perfect, spotless and clean, lovely and bright, balcony was an added bonus and enjoyed while getting ready for our daily adventures. Plenty of choice on the doorstep for food and drinks if you don’t want to go far but also a short, scenic walk away from the old harbour, it was just what we wanted.

Cons: The only slight problem we had was we couldn’t get any hot water in the shower, wasn’t the end of the world and quite refreshing at times but really had to psych ourselves up to get in haha

Pros: Location is great, short walk to the center of the town and explore the cafés and restaurants nearby. The house has all the essentials, staff very friendly and helpful. Cosy and clean, although the stairs are a problem after a certain age 🙂. But I enjoyed my stay anyway.

We enjoyed the property and it’s location

Pros: The location was great The service company was excellent

Cons: Although it was as described it was very small, especially the kitchen. There was a problem with the walls as cement dust kept falling off them. The kitchen was poorly equipped with only one small saucepan, no can opener and no toaster. The saucepan issue was resolved by the service company and we lived with the other things.

Beautiful place to stay.

Pros: The apartment was very new, with a high-end feel to the property. The apartment had a great location along the harbour front situated between a row of bars and restaurants. It was easy to find for us as we had visited Chania many times previously. The downstairs is a compact space with a small kitchen adjacent to the spiral staircase. It was a little tricky to use the kitchen facilities because of limited space, but we managed it ! There were a number of condiments such as oil, jam, tea, coffee, etc, which was very much appreciated as well as water in the fridge. The upstairs bedroom/bathroom is beautifully decorated with a large bed and a balcony with a sea views along the gap between the bars/restaurants.. There was excellent communication from the management company throughout our stay with checki in/out instructions and tips for restaurant's etc. They were always on hand for any queries, which was brilliant.

Cons: Given the steepness of the spiral staircase, this apartment wouldn't be suitable for people with any mobility issues.

Für einen Kurztripp perfekte Lage am Rande der Altstadt.

Pros: Lage war sehr gut, es gab nette Lokale gleich vor der Tür und man war schnell in der Altstadt. Auch der Blick vom Balkon aufs Meer war toll.

Cons: Die Unterkunft war außergewöhnlich, da es ein richtiges kleines Haus war. Neben dem Bett wäre ein Nachtkästchen oder Ähnliches wünschenswert, da man Handy etc. Auf den Boden legen musste. Die Wendeltreppe in den Schlafbereich ist eine kleine Herausforderung wenn jemand Gehprobleme hat, was bei uns zum Glück nicht der Fall ist, da auch ein Geländer fehlt an dem man sich eventuell festhalten kann.

Private and still full City vibes!

Pros: Die Lage ist unschlagbar! Ein privates Häuschen für uns und trotzdem direkt bei Restaurants und Bars am Wasser. Zu Fuß durch Chania und am Wasser entlang: top!
