Pros: The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly! They told us a lot about local attractions and gave us some useful advice how to spend time in full. Also, we had a fantastic view over the mountains and the food in the taverna was really delicious! On our last day the host gave us 2 little jars of different jam which was very kind of them :)

Cons: The only little minus was the road up the mountain, it requires some driving skills.

Pros: We stayed two nights in Platanos tavern and rooms. The place is lovely and quiet, the room was super clean and very charming. It's a great place to stay to go to the White mountains or down to the sea. The owners are very kind and friendly and the food was amazing !

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. It had anything you needed including a fridge. The balcony had a view of the village square. There was a restaurant with good quality food. Very friendly hospitality and we had a free dessert and raki after our meal.

Pros: Really great family-run hotel with a tavern downstairs, right in the centre of the village. The room we got was nice and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to help us with everything.

Perfect spot for hikers

Pros: We loved the Cretan mountains and it is a great spot for hiking (just 5min ride to Aradena Canyon). It is located in the center of a small quiet village, with very good taverns and a small mini market. The food in the tavern was great. The staff were nice and helpful.

Cons: The room was packed, with little space around and there was no window, only entrance, terrace doors (but it had a mosquitoes net).
