Amazing Relaxing Vacation

Pros: This is the second time we stayed at the Asterion, and enjoyed our stay once more. Beautiful and quiet property, spacious and comfortable room, nicely designed and cleaned very well. Good breakfast, amazing staff always here to help with a smile. The only thing i would suggest is for à la carte guest to have a better wine selection & the a la carte restaurant was back in 2022 much better. Overall i would recommend and come back again

Cons: The wine list and a la carte food could be a bit better

Pros: We got an upgrade when we arrived to a galaxy suite. We had our own mini pool and private terrace on the roof. Our room was beautiful, bright and clean. We were welcomed with a smoothie/juice at reception and in our room was a chilled bottle of sparkling wine and a fruit platter. They also allowed us to check in earlier than 3pm which was a bonus. The hotel itself is new and fresh and the outdoor pool and loungers are lovely. There are loungers on the beach also. It's in a rural seaside location around 30 mins drive from Chania Old town. You have a view of the sea from everywhere and it's a nice sandy beach too. We would recommend going all inclusive. The food selection was extensive from choice of fruits, salads, cold meat and cheeses to the hot food and desserts. They also have a la carte menus for lunch and dinner if you prefer. Staff were all very friendly and helpful all the time. Nothing was too much trouble.

Amazing hotel in a beautiful location

Pros: Amazing small hotel on a beautiful wild and protected beach. The food was soooo good . Especially in the restaurant. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We will come back for sure.

Brilliant stay

Pros: Beautiful facilities, remote peaceful location, brilliant staff.

Peaceful, quality adult retreat.

Pros: Exceptionally peaceful. Friendly and attentive staff. Spotlessly clean hotel, rooms and pool area. Bed was large and very comfortable. Very good food - selection and quality. The cocktails were excellent. Easy access to the long, sandy beach.

Cons: As the weather was below average for the time of year, the pools were too cold and the sea too choppy to reasonably enjoy, we found ourselves bored on occasions. Perhaps some board games in the spacious reception area would be a good idea. We visited Chania a couple of times on the bus, but the location is a little bit out of the way. It is a great location if you wish to do very little. Had the weather been warmer and the sea not as rough, our perspective might have changed.

Lovely setting, but high costs that didn’t fully justify the overall experience

Pros: The property is situated in a peaceful, remote area, which provided the perfect escape for my family and me. The overall experience was great—the room was spotless and well-maintained, and the facilities were excellent.

Cons: While the massages were undoubtedly very good, and neither my family members nor I had any complaints about the quality of the service, they were still far too expensive for what was offered. Unfortunately, I don’t believe the experience justified the high prices at the facility. Additionally, as pointed out in other reviews, the staff lacked authenticity. Each morning, it took around 10 minutes and several reminders to receive my coffee, which was frustrating and not up to the standard one would expect. This is definitely an area where the hotel could improve. On a positive note, I appreciate the reception team for taking my feedback seriously and offering their apologies, which was a thoughtful gesture. However, despite this, I still feel that the overall cost for a week’s stay was excessive and didn’t deliver value for the money spent.

Perfect place

Pros: Excellent place for a quiet and relaxing vacation. The hotel has all the necessary infrastructure. Good cleaning of rooms, clean beach. But especially service and food - above all praise! The food is very tasty and varied. The restaurant manager Goran is my favorite. Very careful and kind attitude, personalized attention - he always finds time especially for you. Goran, Asterion, thank you for a great week!

Cons: Not the best location in terms of connection to the nearest villages. For some people this may be a plus if they want to be completely off the radar
