Pros: Quite secluded but within easy reach of other towns/villages. A lovely taverna within walking distance A very warm welcome from the owners.

Lovely relaxing start to our holiday in Crete

Pros: Villa was lovely and peaceful. Had everything we needed. Nice having a lovely clean pool with loungers to relax on. Local taverna in walking distance but you do need a car to visit beaches/shop. Nice welcome with cheese pies, cake and raki even late at night when flight had been delayed! Linen change was appreciated too. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Very enjoyable

Pros: It is a quiet and private property in a small village and is within easy reach (by car) of other places. The host let us in and treated us to home made cheese pie and raki and also a cake. They gave information regarding the property and the area. The pool was clean and very handy as the weather was hot! The taverna in the village is very welcoming and serves traditional Cretan food.

We loved our stay at the quiet villa

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at the villa located in this quiet village. It was very hot in Crete during our stay, and as the villa is a bit higher up in the mountains than sea-level, temperatures were milder as well; 38°C actually felt good. The host wished us welcome with fresh cake, raki, local wine and olive oil and made us feel very welcome from the start to the end. They answered swiftly and even checked up with us how we where doing during the stay. The villa is well located for exploration of Chania and Rethymno. We loved Kalami beach ;-) The sound of sicades was distanced enough to be enjoyable and in the evenings sirisses and crickets song their calm tune. The church nearby sounds the hours and the half hours and was very charming.

Cons: Only minor issues: - Air Condition on master bedroom needs some care, but worked well enough even with high daytime outside temperature. - There should be more seating than two chairs available on the balcony, but we were aware of that from before we arrived. Rumors are that more seating are one the way... All in all not problematic enough to reduce the score anyhow!

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous villa, and guided by our helpful and attentive host. Highly recommended.

Pros: We both adored Villa Silvia. It was immaculately clean and well-appointed. The location was superb for us - secluded, private, but not too far from local amenities. Our welcome was wonderful, greeted by the hosts in a very thoughtful way. Our host was also very quick to respond to our queries about the property as the week progressed. The pool was fantastic and the air-conditioning came in very handy.

Pros: Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen :-) Als Gastgeschenk erhielten wir eine Flasche Raki, Olivenöl und Wein sowie einen selbst gebackenen Kuchen. Wer es gerne ruhig mag, ist hier genau richtig.

Villa Silvia a dream experience

Pros: The house is exactly how you see it in the pictures. What you see is what you get. The location is fantastic, sorrounded by mountains and at a driving distance from the center. Very quiet and private. The owners are fantastic Greek people. They had excellent touristic advice and were available at all times. The house is fully equipped, clean and a housekeeper came to change linens and towels. The owner came to clean the pool once during our stay. We fell in love with the house and its location. It was comfortable for our family of 4 and it is definitely a place we would love to visit and stay again.

Pros: Het huis was fantastisch. Rustig gelegen, heerlijk zwembad en alles was super schoon en netjes!

Pros: Heerlijk huis en zwembad, we hebben genoten. Ondanks onze onverwachte extreem late aankomst was geen probleem, we werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen.

Cons: Niets.

Ruhige Unterkunft mit privatem Pool - traumhaft

Pros: Sehr schöne Unterkunft im ländlichen Kreta, absolut ruhig, super ausgestattet und mit privatem Pool. Wir wurden auch spät abends bei unserer Ankunft noch herzlich begrüßt und mit selbstgebackenem Kuchen und Raki empfangen. Es war wirklich eine schöne Auszeit in der Villa Silvia und wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.
