Villa Kalliani

Delightful hilltop villa with exceptional views.

Pros: The villa is spacious, very comfortable and everything works. The views are phenominal. The garden is lovely and there are numerous places to sit outside. Some shelter from the breeze is possible if required. The pool is clean and a good size - but in October very cold, even for us hardy Northerners. Aris is an exceptional host - great communication and very helpful. There are excellent tavernas nearby. Access to the many wonderful beaches and mountain areas of Western Crete is easy by car.

Cons: We are used to driving in Greece so didn't find the road up to the Villa too much of a challenge, however the last 300m is pretty uneven with a few steep bends. It took us 10 minutes to get down to the nearest village with facilities by car - would not have walked ( too steep) although it was nice to Potter round the local village / churches / vineyards.

Pros: Our stay at Villa Kalliani was simply amazing. The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and even more impressive than the photos. The pool and the sea view are stunning — the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Cretan sun. We were warmly welcomed by Antonis, Arris’s father, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Arris was also great with communication and made everything easy from the start. We also received a lovely welcome pack, such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel immediately at home. We had a wonderful time and would come back without hesitation. Highly recommended!

A beautiful villa, high on the hill, with outstanding views to allow you to get away from it all!

Pros: The villa is just beautiful! Right at the top of a hill amongst the olive groves with the most outstanding views all around over Kissimos bay. It has all the amenities you would ever need, and is very clean and comfortable. Antonis and Aris ensured a friendly Cretan welcome was ours, and helped with questions when we needed advice on supermarkets, tavernas etc. They also put us in touch with an excellent car rental company too.

Cons: Nothing, everything was great.

Perfect location for a holiday relaxation.

Pros: Perfect location for a holiday relaxation. There was total privacy within the villa up in the hill and just less than 10 min from the nearest village with grocery stores and tavernas. Aris as a host was great and answered quickly to all our questions. You'll need a car for sure, but that was no problem. I'll recommend this to all looking for a private villa for their holidays.

Pros: We loved our stay at Villa Kalliani - it had everything we needed for our 10 days here. The location is perfect, you feel totally private yet not totally in the middle of nowhere, and you are close to the coast, shops, restaurants etc with a quick drive (you'll need a car!). The views from the villa were incredible day and night, we spent many an evening on the balcony. The house had all the things we needed, all the utensils for cooking, BBQ etc, and very convenient having a dishwasher and washing machine! Overall we would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in West Crete.

Soggiorno fantastico

Pros: Io e la mia famiglia siamo stati benissimo dalla vista panoramica alla piscina al comfort e posizione strategica per le principali escursioni della costa sud ovest. Abbiamo avuto qualche piccolo problema e l'host è stato super disponibile ad aiutarci. Lo consigliamo assolutamente!!
