Nestled in a green plain amongst citrus orchards and olives groves, Spilia Village combines traditional stone-built rooms with modern facilities. Beautiful hotel, great team and stunning location

Pros: We had a great stay - everyone we came across was helpful and welcoming. The room we booked was spacious, cool and clean. We had a lovely dinner on the first night of our stay, the food was great - probably some of the best of our trip in Crete. At breakfast there were lots of great options which changed slightly each day, with fresh bread, fruits etc. Whilst we didn't spend too much time by the pool, there was plenty of space to swim or sit out and read a book. Thank you again for a really lovely stay, we hope to be able to come back again in future.

Peace and quiet in a Cretan village

Pros: Lovely big room with a double for us and two single beds for the kids. Very friendly welcome. Plentiful and delicious breakfast buffet. Nice pool and very comfortable loungers.

Cons: Not quite enough loungers by the pool for August. That's it!

Pros: Gorgeous property, pool area was amazing. Food for breakfast and dinner was some of the best we had in Crete, and the staff were all amazing too. Not far to explore surrounding beaches on west coast - a really good base if you have your own car.

Amazing pool area for a relaxing stay

Pros: The pool area is fantastic, and the breakfast selection is excellent – definitely a 10/10. The staff were very friendly and engaging, making our stay all the more enjoyable.

Cons: The rooms are quite basic, particularly the bathroom, which could use some updating. For the price, we expected a higher standard.

Our third stay - and will come back!

Pros: This was our 3rd time, we always book a private villa with a pool just up the hill from the main hotel. We love the views, the pool and the spaciousness of the villa. The kitchen is well equipped and the washing machine is handy to have for a longer stay. The staff at the restaurant are friendly and the breakfast spread is very good.

Cons: We informed the staff about a small leak in our master bathroom, which they said they would take a look at.

I had a very enjoyable stay before I joined a walking group to stay a further 9 nights.

Pros: The pool was kept spotlessly clean, as were the sunbeds. There was a good choice of food at the buffet breakfast. The room was very comfortable and spacious.

Cons: I didn’t like having to cross the little bridge to get to my room, it was too steep and I was concerned about slipping. Luckily I found a way round it.

Pros: Beautiful boutique hotel about 20 mins from Chania. Perfect for couples or families that want a quieter holiday vibe but with all the authenticity of a Greek villa. Staff were wonderful and very helpful, friendly atmosphere and the pool area is just stunning. Manos and Geni were fantastic and friendly.

Cons: The only small criticism is the bar could've stayed open later, but it is a quiet place and most people had gone to bed by then.
