Mera Beachfront House - Falasarna

Amazing unique property but not quite as described.

Pros: The location of this unique property is absolutely amazing, with the front gate leading directly on to the rock-pool beach. It is a very short (1 minute) walk to the sandy beaches and restaurants of Falasarna Baby Beach. We tried the three closest places to eat - Alea, Golden Sunset Tavern and Orange Blue - all stunning as the sun sets. The accommodation was good, with a super jacuzzi and plenty of shade and seats to relax during the day/evening. Pretty much everything we needed was supplied, even when cooking at the property itself. The garden around the two houses is also lovely to relax in and explore the wildlife – with visits from wall lizards, green lizards, ocellated skink, a variety of butterflies and even a Balkan whip snake. A real paradise.

Cons: It is described as a two-bedroom property – but this is incorrect, it is two one-bedroom properties, each with its own front door. This makes a huge difference if travelling with a small child as it is impossible, and feels unsafe, to leave a child alone locked in their own house overnight. As a result we had to abandon one of the properties and slept on the sofa bed in the kitchen of the second house – not exactly comfortable. If we had known it was two separate properties we would never have booked. Having clothes in one house and sleeping in the other was not relaxing or convenient. Be aware that at weekends, the beach directly in front of the house turns into a little car-park (or it did while we were there). I know it was unavoidable, but being visited and inspected by three strange men at breakfast on the second day was not a pleasant experience.

Pros: Wonderful location very peaceful. Great facilities. Steps away from taverna and shop. Right on the beachfront.

One of the best places I've ever stayed

Pros: It has everything you need, it's also perfect for small children

Pros: We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Mera Beachfront House. The location was second to none and the house was perfect. The house is right on the beach so perfect for family holidays as you can walk right out onto a small beach which was perfect for our son. The house was perfect in that outdoor facilities (sofa, dining table, BBQ, hammock etc.) were all very well thought out. Possibly the best rental house we have stayed at !! We will definitely be back!

Beach house in paradise

Pros: This is the best place i have ever been during my vacation and I travel a lot. A nice house in the middle of paradise. We had plans to explore surroundings... but we just stayed at this beauty... also beaches are perfect. Will be back for sure.

A little paradise

Pros: Pulizia, location, spazio isolato e nel verde, piena di ogni comfort

Cons: Strada di accesso migliorabile

Pros: Die Lage direkt am Meer ist fantastisch. Direkt vor dem Haus ist es felsig aber schöne Bademöglichkeiten sind nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Das Haus hat sehr viele Sitzgelegenheiten und einen sehr schönen Garten. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist über einen separaten Zugang zu erreichen und verfügt über ein eigenes Bad mit Toilette und eine kleine Teeküche. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Kann diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Traumhaus direkt am Strand

Pros: Traumhafte Lage direkt am Strand Gute ausgestattetes Haus inkl. Backofen, Nespresso Kaffemaschine… Der Whirlpool ist ein Traum… Wenn es mal kühler ist heizt die Klimaanlage super schnell Tolle Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber Nette Aufmerksamkeiten wie Wein, Raki, Olivenöl, Kaffee, ….

Cons: Das wir schon nach 5 Tagen wieder fahren mussten :-)

Een stukje hemel op aarde

Pros: De ligging en in en om het huis waren super om te zijn….

Cons: Alles was heerlijk

Ein einzigartiger Urlaub mit der Familie an der Westküste Kretas.

Pros: Top-Lage nur wenige Meter vom Strand, nette Lokale und ein kleiner Supermarkt ganz in der Nähe, tolle Ausstattung (zB Fön, Kaffeemaschinen, großer Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach)
